CIMA updates it's tracking of media development donor support 

How much  are donors directing toward media development? What are their priorities? From 2015 to 2016, overall levels of donor support for global media development remained largely unchanged. This is according to the latest data published by CIMA as part of their Media Development Donor Profiles initiative, which aims to give the broader media development community a better understanding of the efforts of donors, both public and private, in supporting news media development worldwide.

Alvarado’s story, a hyperlocal story got more than a million views and put a spotlight on the ongoing issues facing many Puerto Ricans.

Journalists cooperate to strengthen migration coverage


The “Journalism in a Global Context” Spring School in Dakar aims to strengthen an intercultural approach to one of the most momentous issues of the globalised world. Journalists will receive grants to report on migration issues for a period of one year.  The aim is to promote both a realistic vision of Africa and an accurate coverage of migration issues.
