Local History
To commemorate July 4th each year, the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, in partnership with the State Historic Site, hosts a celebration on Plymouth Notch. Not only is it Independence Day, but it's also Pres. Coolidge's birthday! Volunteer Pat Moore captured this year's events celebration, including readings from the Declaration of Independence by local students. Watch it HERE.

Local Music
We are doing our best to hit as many of the local concerts on the Green as possible...be it Proctorsville, Belmont, or Ludlow. This week, we present coverage of Sammy Blanchette playing as part of the Cavendish Summer Concert Series, on the Proctorsville Green. Our Summer intern, Gavin Greenawalt, was there with a camera & mic to document Sammy's performance.
And in case you missed it, last week, we brought you The Plumb Bobs, who performed indoors at the Library as part of Mount Holly Summer Concert Series, due to a rainy evening (that one was also covered by Gavin). Local concerts play throughout the week on the Community Channel - check our newly updated program grid for times.

Local Variety
The Lake Rescue Association held its annual meeting over the past weekend in the Ludlow Community Center building. Coverage of the meeting is part of our upcoming Local Variety programming - playing each week on the Community Channel (see the programming grid for "Local Variety" & other timeslots). You can also watch the Lake Rescue Association meeting here.

VMX Showcase
As part of our Vermont Media Exchange (VMX) showcase this week, thanks to coverage from our colleagues at Mt. Mansfield Community TV, you can learn all about Owls of Vermont! Jericho-Underhill Land Trust hosts Craig Newman from the Outreach of Earth Stewardship leads an engaging talk about 3 distinct types of owls found here in VT. The VMX Showcase is a block of programming each week on the Community Channel, featuring programming from our partner stations from around the State. (see the programming grid for "VMX Showcase" & other timeslots).
