The Real Estate Institute of Tasmania (REIT) has recently released the REIT Property Quarterly Report - September 2011.
The data included is based on 1216 house sales and 245 sales of other dwellings in the quarter. Overall in Tasmania, house prices decreased by 3.2% in the quarter, with the median for the state now $295,100. Hobart's median was $345,000 (decrease 9.2%), Launceston $270,000 (increase 0.9%) and the North-West median was $235,000 (decrease 9.6%).
