Does It Mean What It Says?

29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

Romans 8:29-30 (ESV)

Today we wanted to hear from a couple of modern voices in this conversation on God's sovereignty and our salvation.

J.D. Greear is the pastor of The Summit Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. Under his leadership, the church has grown to over 10,000 in weekly attendance in multiple campuses throughout the region. Prior to coming to Summit, he served internationally as a church planter and missionary. Currently, he is the President of the Southern Baptist Convention, one of the networks of churches we partner with in our mission ventures around the world.

Matt Chandler is the pastor of The Village Church in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Their church has planted multiple campuses and congregations in their area. Matt was one of the founding leaders of the Acts 29 network, a global church planting organization.

Both of these men are wise, godly, (com)passionate leaders with a deep understanding of God’s Word. You will be encouraged, challenged, and equipped for God’s mission through their messages. So check out these two short clips.
