            WINTER IS HERE

The AU winter-season clubs have stamped The Blacks name in their respective leagues, with a great mix of results.

The AU Football Club A Grade team made their debut return to the Division 1 Amateur League with a win in the first round and the B grade, competing in the Division 1 Reserves, go into the 4th round undefeated!

The Netball Club has 6 teams competing in the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division. Although they haven't scored a win yet, games have been tight.

The Rugby Club's first team soared to a huge victory in their first round at their home ground at Waite.

The Soccer Club's 30 teams have recorded more wins than loses, setting them up for a great season ahead.

Lacrosse and Baseball are just 1 round in - looking for a win in the 2nd!

The Hockey Premier sides have also just kicked off in style, with the women dominating North East with an 8-0 victory.

 SA BASKETBALL CHALLENGE

Deep within the hollows of the Therbarton Campus Gymnasium, an AUBC member stumbled across a Perpetual Trophy for an AU vs FU Basketball Challenge, last played in 1985.

This got him thinking, with the death of the Central Uni Games, SA universities will rarely get a chance to play against each other. Thus, the SA Basketball Challenge was re-born!

AU Basketball players will be taking on UniSA and FU students in a one day competition at Mawson Lakes Campus on May 26. Click here to get involved!

      AU CRICKET CLUB TOUR

AU cricketers will be representing the Vice Chancellor's X1 at the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in an Inter Varsity tournament against Universities from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, China and Malaysia. Despite being the 6th time the event has been held, AU are the first University from outside the Asian region to participate, an achievement of which we are very proud.

Those that are familiar with the humidity and heat in Malaysia will understand the great challenge that this will be. All games will be 50 over one day matches with white balls, hence, we'll be wearing "The Blacks" uniform with pride!
