  • Angela Strode, Esq. was appointed in March 2020 to the board of directors for Mind Springs, Inc., which is the holding company for Mind Springs Health and West Springs Hospital.  These organizations, combined, form a community mental health center which serves most of Western Colorado.
  • Marian Camden, Psy.D. just released her sixth children’s book, An Earth Child’s Book for the Very Young.  It is the third book in her Earth Child Books series, which are designed to help children understand and treasure their connection to Nature.
  • Another member, a self-described “boots on the ground” therapist, reported she has continued to see families by Skype, Facetime and outdoors.  She has worn masks and used hand sanitizer to go to the homes of families and to do CFI work.  She has taken walks outside to do therapy, and has tried to guide parents as a Parenting Coordinator through the COVID times with hope.

No matter how you choose to frame 2020, the one thing we can all agree on is that this year has been one of significant change.  Each of us has been forced to re-evaluate where we choose to put our time and energy.  Our personal and professional lives have been altered in ways both great and small.  As the pandemic continues, we will miss seeing you in person, but hope these Snippets provide you some support.  Look for a fully-loaded COAFCC Newsletter this winter.  Contact us with your ideas!
