Hospice Month in Florida

Each November, hospice and palliative care programs across the nation join together in celebration of the people who make hospice work. These programs foster grants for research guiding the field to new innovative techniques in administering care. Florida hospice leaders and advocates champion policy initiatives that make this special type of care stronger and more accessible to those in need.

FHPCA joins hospice organizations across the state to bring awareness of hospice and palliative care services. Last year, over 130,000 patients received hospice care in Florida. Throughout the month of November, FHPCA’s How We Care campaign is helping Floridians understand the importance of end-of-life care and the support available when facing a life-limiting illness. I don’t know exactly when my mother, who...CONTINUE READING
