Arts Access is pleased to offer this workshop for people interested in becoming audio describers. Participants in this training are eligible to audition for Audio Describer employment opportunities with Arts Access.
What is Audio Description?
Audio Description is a narration service for individuals who are blind or have low vision. The audio describer provides an ongoing dialogue of visual events that are taking place.
Participants will Learn
-how to articulate visual details effectively and in the moment
-tips for bringing audio description back to your organization
-how to enhance the theater or gallery experience for the blind and low vision audience.
Where: Comfort Suites, Page Rd.
Cost: $300

DPAC presents a special sensory-friendly production of How The Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 am, and there are still tickets remaining.
Special sensory-friendly features include:

Fewer loud noises and flashing lights during the production.

Quiet areas sectioned off in the lobby.

On-site volunteers to assist families throughout the performance

Detailed instructions and character comparisons for parents to download and/or print to assist communication about the event.

Sertoma Arts Center Announces Sensory-Friendly Creative Saturdays!
This event will offer accessible accommodations for individuals with Sensory Processing Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
The Arts Center will provide an accepting and inclusive environment, modifications to sound and lighting, noise canceling headsets, and a quiet room.

A Special Presentation!
Join the Women’s Theatre Festival in celebrating the timeless tale of sisterly love and survival that is Little Women, with a holiday performance and high tea. During this festive event, tea and cakes will be served. There will be singing, dancing, and merrymaking!
