TONIGHT: Newton North Virtual College Admissions Panel
The Newton North College and Career Center is hosting a virtual College Admissions Panel on Tuesday, April 27, 6:30-8:00pm. Representatives from UMass Amherst, Syracuse University, American University and Brandeis University will participate in a panel discussion about the college application process. They will provide insights from the college perspective, including information on the impact of COVID-19. The intended audience for this presentation is junior students and their families. However, any student or parent/guardian is welcome to attend! If you have any questions, please contact Newton North College and Career Counselor, Jennifer Geraghty here. Walk, Roll, Bike or Take the Bus on #FreshAirFridays!
Do something good for yourself and the environment. Join Newton in celebrating #FreshAirFridays by walking, rolling, biking or taking the bus to school on Fridays this spring. Live too far to walk? Consider driving halfway and walking the rest. Visit for some tips.
Get Involved! 2021-22 PTSO Leadership Opportunities
We are seeking the following positions for our 2021-22 PTSO Board:

  • 1 Co-director, Technology: Are you technologically savvy? Are you comfortable navigating various software platforms (WordPress, Mail Chimp, Pay Pal, Gmail, Facebook)? Do you have a few hours per month to volunteer with the PTSO assisting with our tech needs? If so, please consider assisting our PTSO with technology needs as a Co-director, Technology.
  • 1 Co-director, Programming: Do you have ideas for topics about which parents want to hear? Do you have suggestions for parent speakers? Please bring your ideas and energy to our Co-director, Programming position.

Newton North School Council Seeks Two Parent/Guardian Members and One Alternate

The job of the School Council is to advise the principal on budget, school improvement plans, and other issues of general interest. The term of office is three years. Parents/guardian members must have a child attending Newton North High School and are expected to attend meetings on the first Monday of each month during the school year (October-June). Meetings are in the Principal's Conference Room (room 103) from 6:30-8:00pm or via zoom.
