Welcome to News from Dance Theatre of Ireland (DTI).  Take a look at what’s going on now and in the coming months.  Dance Theatre of Ireland have innovated Ireland’s largest, most multi-faceted, dance education & outreach program, with over 4500 participating yearly, including those who might never have discovered dance otherwise.

We aim to get more people dancing and seeing dance with participants aged 3-90 in courses at DTI’s beautiful Centre for Dance in Dún Laoghaire, including new programs for Seniors.

There is a nationwide program of dance workshops taking place in schools and community centres through Dance POP--Dance Performance Outreach Programe, some 2000 people participate in 175+ workshops yearly.  Dublin Youth Dance Company, initiated and supported by DTI, engages dozens of members year round at the Centre in weekly rehearsals and performances. The Creating Space program supports 8-10 choreographers every year in creating new work and sharing it with the public and Nature Moves provides young people opportunities to experience Nature and creating dances inspired by the natural world.

DTI gratefully acknowledges Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council & Arts Council support.
