We are so grateful for your involvement in our lives and what God is doing here in Chile. All of your prayers, your giving, your words of encouragement, your presence, and the many ways that you have supported us over the years… it's all precious to us! Thank you and happy New Year!

Stay in touch…
Deanna and Hudson chased the purse snatchers. I don't think Deanna thought through what she would do with them if she caught them. Thankfully she came to her senses and stopped the chase. She lost her purse which had her cell phone and camera in it. Not one hair on our children's heads can be touched without God's watchful eye, but God did allow her hair to get ruffled this time! Besides the two terrified purse snatchers out there, it was a notable piece of education for Deanna that day!
Some of you have asked what Deanna is doing this year, now that she has graduated from high school. With the loss of both of Laura's parents this year, Deanna's two head injuries and the long healing process have taken a back seat. Deanna came back to Chile with us to literally get her head back together and prepare for entering college in the fall of 2013. Some friends offered her a position as student intern at their horse farm. She spends her weekends massaging show jumping horses, warming them up for riders, and other horse care duties. She is paid with free riding classes from one of the best show jumping riders in Chile and is allowed to ride excellent horses in local competitions.
Isaac arrived for Christmas break. He pulled out his guitar and Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring started flowing through the house - Laura's language! She joined him on the piano at church on Sunday. It has been pure joy for us all to be together. Isaac graduates from Ben Lippen High School in May 2013. He is planning to attend Covenant College to study biology/premed.
