Deep gratitude to God for launching the marriage education ministry this year …

Someone asked, "Where did all these people come from?" Thirty-five couples filled the church for a marriage conference by our friends from FamilyLife. The conference title was called A Day to Remember, and it really was a day to remember. It was a strange cross section of our contacts and friends. Some came from far away. Others were friends of friends. One fellow received Christ. Half rededicated themselves to the Lordship of Christ. The day went off without a hitch. Our friends, Daniel and Donna Jarstfer from Virginia served lunch, ferried people to and fro, and allowed us to be there without so many direct responsibilities. We could have used about five more parking places in the skimpy parking lot, but no one complained. They all double- and triple-parked, ready to be there the whole day. Leonel and Miriam Motta (from FamilyLife) spoke with grace and authority.
Thank you for praying!! From that day came yet more contacts for more conferences. The most notable is the head Protestant Chaplain of the Chilean Navy who asked FamilyLife to return with their Military Ministry for all four branches of Chilean military. Wow! We did not see that one coming but are so thankful! There were at least nine denominations represented.

Besides the FamilyLife conferences, Roger has taught seven leadership training conferences. We will finish the last one of the season this weekend with a group of 26 pastoral and leadership couples with the Autonomous Assemblies of God. We are excited to have such an opportunity to say the least! Keep praying and pray with thanksgiving!
Tuesday, May14th we will travel to the US. Isaac graduates from Ben Lippen High School. We are so proud of him and how he has handled himself while away from the family. Isaac plans to attend Covenant College to study Biology/Premed in August. Deanna plans to attend Johnson and Wales in Rhode Island to study Equine Business Management/Tourism.

Because of the high cost of air travel we will spend the summer connecting with as many churches as we can, and return to Chile after  leaving the older two at college. Roger will continue to schedule and prepare for conferences. One notable invitation is from MTW church planters in Bogota, Colombia. Lord willing, we will travel there in July to present the Lost Concepts of Marriage conference to church leaders who want to launch a marriage ministry to reach the city. More on this later!

Rejoicing in Christ,
Roger and Laura Dye
