Urgent Prayer Requests:

Alex Cotrina, our FamilyLife leader in Peru, has been in the ICU with inflammation of the lungs due to COVID. They are concerned about his fever caused by a bacterial infection.

Armando Tamayo in Ecuador, our local FamilyLife coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean— his wife and son are at home with COVID, and even the diagnostics tests costs $45 each. Armando's mother (who suffers from chronic pulmonary fibrosis) was admitted to the hospital with COVID, despite being fully vaccinated. Since Armando has been exposed, he is not allowed visitation. Armando feels the weight of all of this.

And now in reverse chronological order…

July 16 brings our virtual Global Summit. 165 of our local partners around the world have registered so far. Many of the registrations represent couples, so we expect over 300 people to be connected for the conference. Please pray that the technology will hold strong from every corner of the the globe!

June: The Spanish Digital Library that you prayed about has launched! Every day Roger is engrossed in converting FamilyLife resources from print to digital. There are just a few titles listed online now, but we hope to have all of our Spanish resources available by the end of the year. Check out our humble beginnings. This will enable us to reach countries where shipping and customs fees have been prohibitive. Rejoice with us in prayer over this huge step forward.

May: We held our first Virtual Summit for the US Latino ministry on May 14-15. About 20 FamilyLife Latino leadership couples came together for encouragement and to develop a common vision for the year to come.

Family news

Our second grandson, Jasper, was born to Isaac and Elsie at 28 weeks (three months early). The little guy has been in the hospital for a month and is expected to need several more weeks before being allowed to go home. He is gaining weight well, but has required a CPAP with supplemental oxygen since day one. The current concern is PDA. Please pray for wisdom in treatment and grace in healing. Isaac and Elsie would also appreciate being remembered in prayer. They are spending a lot of time at the hospital away from their 18 month old son Bentley who is not allowed in the hospital.
