From Exposing the ELCA's Founder
Sorry for the delay in sending this quarter's newsletter out. It's been a busy summer with a special speaking engagement, traveling and vacation. I have been greatly encouraged and blessed by many conversations that have reminded me of how important our work is. As I write, I am in Florida spending important and precious time with my family, but I felt I couldn't and shouldn't delay the newsletter any longer. God's calling continues, Exposing the ELCA, no matter where I am.
There are so many things happening in the denomination that need to be exposed; the material is really piling up. Most of the news is material for my blog, articles that I need to write. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer external news articles and blogs being written by others regarding the ELCA, as many pastors have moved on upon leaving the ELCA. That makes me so thankful to those that are still fighting the good fight against heresy happening in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, people like Don Kriefall who writes Common Sense for a Senseless World (http://commonsenseforasenslessworld.blogspot.com/), Kathy Suarez who writes Reconciliation in a Broken Church (http://lutherancatholicblog.com/) and the occasional article from Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr., or the people at firstthings.com/, frontpagemag.com/ and juicyecumenism.com/. They are "Watchmen on the Wall" (Isaiah 62:6 and Ezekiel 3:17-19) sounding the alarm, warning people of the dangers. Thank you!
For Exposing the ELCA also, the work goes on. If you have been helped through the work of Exposing the ELCA, please consider helping this ministry continue God's calling. Your prayers are coveted, and your financial gifts are greatly appreciated.

The Abortion Church
The ELCA has a dirty little secret that they hope their membership never finds out about. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America provides for abortions in the medical health coverage for people and families they employ. They have been doing it from the start, when the ELCA was formed. Over 20 years ago. Our tithes and offerings have went and are going to pay for the killing of unborn children.
That's bad, but it gets worse. They allow and pay for abortions for any reason. They don't limit them to only cases where the health of the mother or child are in jeopardy. They pay for any abortion that state laws allow. The baby has Down's syndrome? Abortion approved. Mother doesn't want to be tied down with a baby? Abortion approved. Wanted a boy, not a girl? Abortion approved. Abortion for any reason.
During the ELCA Church-wide Assembly in 1997 some voting members tried to limit medical coverage for abortions. They submitted that abortions could be paid for "only in cases that involve pregnancy that results from the violence of rape or incest, or serious threats to the physical health of the mother, or abnormalities of the embryo or fetus that are incompatible with life." The majority of the voters and leaders of the ELCA said NO. 651 votes to 271 votes. (www.exposingtheelca.com
/on-abortion.html) They did not want to limit abortions. The ELCA wants to pay for them all. Or should I say, they want YOU to pay for all abortions. Money you thought was going for God's work.
Do you think Jesus would tell people to kill their child? Our paying for abortions makes it easier for people to have them. Is that God's will? Do you believe God thinks the ELCA is doing a loving thing by funding abortions? This is a denomination gone wild! Doing their own will. Making their own truth while rejecting God's Words. And they love having US pay for it!
Christ followers, the ELCA is on brink of not even being Christian anymore.

Pro-Life Resolutions Help Provide a Clearer Picture of the ELCA’s Pro-Choice Stance
An Exposing the ELCA reader, John Vincent, recently sent me some documents that I’d like to share with you. The first document has two pro-life resolutions which he submitted to the Nebraska Synod of the ELCA. (read here
) The next one has the Nebraska Synod Resolution Committee’s rulings on his resolutions. (see pages 48-51, committee's response to resolutions 5 and 6
The third document is entitled “What I Learned About the ELCA and Abortion from the Nebraska Synod.” (read here
) Here Mr. Vincent analyzes and presents his findings on what he has learned regarding the ELCA’s stance on abortion.
I recommend you take a few minutes to read the documents, especially Mr. Vincent’s findings, as they provide a clear picture of the ELCA’s true positions on abortion and the life of an unborn child.
Hebrews 4:12 - Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
John 8:31-32 - So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
"We censure the doctrines of men not because men have spoken them, but because they are lies and blasphemies against Scriptures. And the Scriptures, although they too are written by men, are neither of men nor from men but from God. Now since Scriptures and the doctrines of men are contrary one to the other, the one must lie and the other be true" – Martin Luther (LW 35: 153).
“Doctrine directs us and shows us the way to heaven…we can be saved without love….but not without pure doctrine….The devil would dearly love to corrupt and overthrow our doctrine; that is why he attacks us so cleverly with this specious argument about not offending love and the harmony among churches.” - Martin Luther (Luther’s Works 27:41-42)
"It bothers me when our church sends in premium payments for health benefits for church employees, knowing that part of that is going to pay for somebody's elective abortion. To me that's reason enough to leave right there, no matter what happens down in Orlando in August." - Pastor Tim White, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
