More Hospitals Test Google Glass

Google Glass is back on sale for anyone with $1,500 to spare - but this time it's for good (or at least as long as stocks last). About a month after its one-day sale, Google announced that it's selling its souped-up eyewear to U.S. customers online. We still think the consumer applications for Glass are unclear. But its value to the medical community is continuing to crystallize. Startups building technology to integrate with Google Glass, including StartUp Health company Cerora, are getting even more interest from hospitals and the digital health community. Last month, Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center said it was using Google Glass throughout its emergency department, and this week startup Remedy announced Google Glass pilots with three Harvard hospitals.
