Fit4D Is Bringing a New Level of Personalization to Diabetes Management

David Weingard, Fit4D, on StartUp Health Now
Fit4D, founded by Health Transformer David Weingard in 2006, is on a bold mission: to improve the lives of the 30 million Americans in the U.S. – and half a billion people around the world – who suffer from diabetes. They are doing this by focusing on engaging the patients who typically fall through the cracks. By pairing their software platform with a network of certified diabetes educators, Fit4D is getting patients back into care, while showing an enviable ROI to health plans and the pharma industry.

Insights: Digital Health Funding Report Shows a Market Growing in Size and Diversity

The first half of 2018 brought record numbers in digital health funding. More than $6B has been raised so far this year across 414 deals – the largest deal count we’ve seen to date.

In addition to the large number of deals, megarounds are being raised by a variety of digital health companies in the industry, with our entire top ten list pulling in deals over $100M. The top ten deals of the first half of 2018 also demonstrate the diversity in the market; investors aren’t putting their money into one single company category.
