Nightingale: Europe’s Answer to the Theranos Debacle

After five careful years of refinement and on the heels of a Theranos media-blitz, Nightingale’s blood test, which can improve the prediction of diseases like heart disease and diabetes, is ready. The Finnish biotech company, helmed by Teemu Suna, launched their service direct-to-consumer in December and sold out of the blood check-up test within a couple of hours. This year, it’s off to the races.

We saw over $246M in innovative health funding this week, led by PathAI, a Boston, MA-based startup that raised $60M for AI pathology and diagnostic tools.
