Apply to Become a QUIP Peer Reviewer

Peer Reviewers play a critical role in making The Forum’s Quality Improvement Program (QUIP) the only objective, independent review system in education abroad, based on the field’s Standards of Good Practice. Peer Reviewers, who are experienced international education professionals trained by The Forum, assess education abroad operations of organizations participating in QUIP Reviews. These reviewers provide suggestions and recommendations for quality improvement, and make the recommendation of whether the organization is in substantial conformity with the Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad.

Session Spotlight

Re-Reading the City: By the Sea
Michael Woolf (CAPA The Global Education Network); Christine Anderson (University of Minnesota); Petros Babasikas (University of Patras/CYA); Anthony Gristwood (CAPA The Global Education Network); Hila Oren (The Tel Aviv Foundation)

Study in urban spaces challenges not only the perception of students but offers opportunities to redefine curriculum in crucial ways. At the end of our session, attendees are invited to go on a city walk after the reception: we will go from classroom to streets to illustrate the ways in which we can read/re-read the city.

The Forum Participates in Conference in South Africa

Professor Bradley Rink of the University of the Western Cape, Chair of The Forum’s Curriculum Committee and Forum Trained Facilitator, represented The Forum at the recent Global Conference on Internationalisation of Higher Education. Sponsored by the International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA), the Conference attracted delegates from 29 countries and was held in the middle of the Kruger National Park.

Rink reports on his experience: “My participation in the Global Conference on Internationalisation of Higher Education on behalf of The Forum marked another important step in strengthening The Forum’s place in broader networks of international educators. Following on the opening plenary address by IEASA’s President, Dr Nico Jooste at The Forum Annual Conference in Atlanta, participation in the Global Conference provided an opportunity to bring The Forum and its work into the view of international educators from across Africa and beyond. These events provide the framework for developing closer cooperation between The Forum and IEASA in the years to come.”
