12th Annual Forum Conference:
A Great Success!


The Forum is pleased to announce that 1,375 colleagues participated in its 12th Annual Conference in Atlanta last week. Attendees came from 41 countries and 45 U.S. states. Approximately 1,145 were from Forum member institutions; over 475 were first-time attendees.

Conference session materials will be posted on The Forum website as they become available. Session presenters are reminded to submit their presentations and handouts for posting as soon as possible.

The Forum sincerely appreciates the efforts of the many individuals, committees and organizations that helped to make the 12th Annual Conference a great success: The Forum seeks any and all input on how to keep the Annual Conference the most important education abroad meeting of the year. Please complete your conference evaluations, which all attendees should have received via email. The evaluation links are also available through the Conference App.

New updates in the Outcomes Toolbox Assessment Bibliography!


The Assessment Bibliography focuses on studies assessing education abroad outcomes with the aims of disseminating information to The Forum membership and encouraging new research and practice. Take a few minutes to browse the bibliography and let us know how we are doing, what you find helpful, and if you have any ideas on how we can improve this important resource.
 
The Outcomes Assessment Toolbox is a resource especially for employees at Forum member institutions. If you work at a Forum member institution but do not have your own log-in information, send an email to: membership@forumea.org.

Nominations Invited for Forum Council Election


Nominations are now being collected for colleagues who can dedicate their time and provide their expertise by serving on the Forum Council. The Forum Council, an elected body of 15 colleagues, works collaboratively with Forum staff to produce member programs, services and benefits. Council members are elected to a three-year term, and are eligible to serve two terms. Nominations are due tomorrow, April 15.

Standards of Good Practice Workshops at St. Cloud State University


On April 20, The Forum will host Standards Workshops at St. Cloud State University. The first workshop in the morning is Overview of the Standards of Good Practice and will provide a means to assess and ensure quality in all areas of education abroad programming. The afternoon workshop will focus specifically on Health, Safety, Security and Risk Management (Standard 8) and will provide the tools to assess and improve health and safety protocols.
