Standards Institute Brings Sharp Focus
to Critical Issues and Challenges

The Forum's 6th Annual Standards of Good Practice Institute, Beyond the Basics of Health, Safety, Security and Risk Management, will be held on Saturday, May 30 at MIT, immediately following the NAFSA conference.
The event is designed to train teams of professionals—education abroad, risk management, legal counsel, public safety, student life, etc.—from organizations to work together to improve risk management plans through continuous review, practice and assessment. It will feature expert presenters in the field of crisis planning and management, and participants will leave with the skills and resources needed to lead crisis planning training at their organization.
What did past participants of the annual Institute have to say about their experiences?
“This year's Standards Institute truly went beyond the basics. By including speakers and planning committee members from outside the field there was added expertise, value and substance, nicely complementing the already strong contributions of Forum members.”
“The Institute is an opportunity for advanced-level learning and connecting with colleagues dealing with the same issues.”
“Fantastic. Learned a lot and now have a lot of reviewing of materials to do!”
“The Institute provided a valuable opportunity to bring sharp focus to critical issues and challenges.”
