The Forum’s ACLS Public Fellow Announced

The Forum is very pleased to welcome 2015 ACLS Public Fellow Amelia Dietrich, who will work as Assistant Director for Digital Resources starting on July 13. Dietrich is currently a research coordinator at Pennsylvania State University’s Center for Language Science and holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics and Language Science from Penn State. The Forum is extremely pleased to once again partner with the American Council for Learned Societies on this innovative fellowship initiative, which offers recent humanities PhDs the opportunity to gain career-building experience in the nonprofit and government sectors. This year's 22 ACLS Public Fellows will take up two-year assignments at a diverse set of organizations in the government and non-profit sectors. A full list of the 2015 Public Fellows and their placements can be found here. The ACLS Public Fellows program is made possible by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Apply to Serve as QUIP Peer Reviewer

Peer Reviewers play a critical role in making The Forum’s Quality Improvement Program (QUIP) the only objective, independent review system in education abroad, based on the field’s Standards of Good Practice. Experienced education abroad professionals trained by The Forum, Peer Reviewers assess education abroad operations in organizations participating in QUIP reviews. They commend the organization for excellent practices, provide suggestions and recommendations for quality improvement, and make the recommendation of whether the organization is in substantial conformity with the individual Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad.

The Forum is currently accepting applications for Peer Reviewers. View eligibility requirements and apply by June 12 to be considered.
