Nominate Candidates for the Forum Council
The Forum Council encourages members to nominate colleagues, or themselves, for the slate of candidates to fill five openings on the Council. Members of the Forum Council play a significant role in helping to shape the Forum’s resources to benefit the membership. Candidates should send a description of qualifications and interests, cv, and full contact information to email@example.com
Deadline for nominations is May 23.
Undergraduate Research Award Nominations
A highlight of every annual conference, recipients of the Forum’s Undergraduate Research Awards demonstrate the very best of student academic achievements abroad. Video excerpts of Richard Hong and Claire Jenson’s presentations in Denver are now available at http://www.forumea.org/research-awards.cfm
The deadline for this year’s nominations is June 29, 2012. For full information about nominations and strategies for identifying students, see http://www.forumea.org/research-application.cfm
2012-13 Forum Membership Renewal
Over the next week Forum members will receive email invoices for membership renewal. The Forum is pleased to announce that, once again, there is no increase in membership dues. While payment is not due until August, sending invoices now gives members the flexibility to pay early if they choose.
Forum/NACUA Clery Workshop on June 13
There are only a few remaining places left in the full-day Forum/NACUA workshop on the changes to Clery Act reporting, hosted by the George Washington University (Washington, DC) on June 13, the day after the Standards of Good Practice Institute. The recent changes to the Clery Handbook affect all education abroad constituents. Registration by the May 25 deadline is encouraged, as on-site registration will not be available for this workshop. Find full details and register here: http://www.forumea.org/CleryWorkshopJune2012.cfm
Thank You to Members
The Forum thanks the over 150 institutional members that responded to the recent survey asking for feedback regarding the Forum’s strategic plan. Survey responses will be used to help develop the Forum’s strategies for developing and delivering member services and benefits over the next 3-5 years.
