Special QUIP Opportunity


A specially-funded opportunity is available for member institutions to participate in a Quality Improvement Program (QUIP) review. Selected institutions must commit to complete the QUIP reviews during the 2016 calendar year, and they will pay only a $500 fee and assume no other costs for the reviews, which include peer review site visits.
 
The deadline to apply is January 15.

Fireside Dialogue: Inclusive Excellence in Education Abroad


The Forum is pleased to offer a Fireside Dialogue to be held in conjunction with its 12th Annual Conference in Atlanta in April 2016. Inclusive Excellence in Education Abroad is intended for education abroad professionals seeking to assist the field to meet its diversity goals by focusing on the more encompassing concept of Inclusive Excellence. The Forum’s Fireside Dialogues foster in-depth, collegial discussion that leads to practical solutions that help to advance The Forum and the field as a whole. 

The application deadline is January 15.

Thanks and Congrats to Ball State University


The Forum thanks institutional representative Kelly Kirkwood of Ball State University for completing the 2015 State of the Field Survey before the early-bird deadline. Ball State received a free workshop registration in a drawing among all institutions who completed the survey before November 30, 2015. Congratulations!
 
Many thanks to all members who completed the State of the Field Survey. Results will be shared at The Forum’s 12th Annual Conference in Atlanta this year.

New Updates in the Outcomes Toolbox Assessment Bibliography!


The Assessment Bibliography focuses on studies assessing education abroad outcomes with the aims of disseminating information to The Forum membership and encouraging new research and practice. Take a few minutes to browse the bibliography and let us know how we are doing, what you find helpful, and if you have any ideas on how we can improve this important resource. Reserve an Exhibit Table for the 12th Annual Conference


Achieve maximum exposure for your institution or organization at The Forum’s 12th Annual Conference by reserving a booth in the Exhibit Hall. There are only a handful of open tables remaining and they are going fast!
 
The Conference, Navigating the Intersections: The Cultures of Education Abroad, will take place in Atlanta, GA, April 6-8, at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. Take advantage of early-bird pricing and register for the conference by January 29.
 

Call for Proposals: Beyond the Basics of Health, Safety, Security and Risk Management


The Forum is now accepting session proposals for the 7th Annual Standards of Good Practice Institute, Beyond the Basics of Health, Safety, Security and Risk Management, to be held at Northwestern University on June 23, 2016. This institute is the field’s signature annual event focusing on the education abroad risk management issues faced by organizations and institutions. Education abroad professionals gather to debrief, train, improve and learn the latest in best practices of education abroad risk management, including regulatory compliance.

The deadline for submitting proposals has been extended to February 5.

Be Part of the On-Site Dialogue: The Forum’s 3rd European Conference


The Forum’s European Conferences provide the valuable opportunity for on-site education abroad professionals to dialogue with colleagues from across Europe, sharing ideas, strategies and concerns. Join the dialogue by submitting a session proposal for the 3rd European Conference, Living Change: Education Abroad in 21st Century Europe. The conference will be hosted by CYA (College Year in Athens) in Athens, Greece, October 5-7, 2016.
 
The deadline to submit proposals is January 29.
