The Forum and 32 NCSI Offers Opportunity to Pilot New Assessment Tool

The Forum is very excited to inform members of a new online assessment tool that will provide an additional way for an organization to assess its health, safety, security and risk management practices. The project is a collaboration between The Forum and 32 National Campus Safety Initiative (32 NCSI), a flagship program of the VTV Family Outreach Foundation (VTV). U.S. college and university members are being asked to test this tool by completing a survey and participating in a follow-up focus group discussion. Member participation will assist in the refinement of this tool before it debuts in early 2017. Forum institutional representatives of U.S.-based colleges and universities should watch their inbox for more information about participating in this project.

Forum Webinar: Applying the Undergraduate Global Health Programs Guidelines

Tuesday, October 18, 12 p.m. (EDT)
FREE for Forum Members, $25 for Non-Members

Applying the Standards of Good Practice to international experiences in global health and clinical internships requires unique considerations and expertise. Experts in global health programs, Jessica Evert, MD, and Tricia Todd, MPH, will lead participants through a close look at the Undergraduate Global Health Program Guidelines, which have been specifically created to assist with developing programs for students engaged in health-related programs abroad. Participants will learn how to utilize the Guidelines when developing programs and to advise students interested in experiences abroad, with a special focus on strategies for exploring students’ motivations. Our experts will be joined by international education leader, Scott Daby, to discuss strategies for study abroad offices to work with pre-health advising and career coaching offices on campus.
