12th Annual Forum Conference:
Call for Proposals

The Forum is pleased to announce the theme of its 12th Annual Conference: "Navigating the Intersections: The Cultures of Education Abroad." The conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, April 6-8, 2016.

Education abroad is a field of intersections. In every program, different national identities, learning models, values, disciplines, languages, traditions, institutions and organizations encounter each other in distinctive ways that create the unique cultures of education abroad. Education abroad lives and thrives at the intersections of these ideas and realities. Read the full Call for Proposals.

Session proposals are now being accepted via an online form. The deadline to submit is September 4.

The Forum thanks the Conference Committee for its work in choosing the theme of the Annual Conference.

Apply to Serve as QUIP Peer Reviewer

Peer Reviewers play a critical role in making The Forum’s Quality Improvement Program (QUIP) the only objective, independent review system in education abroad, based on the field’s Standards of Good Practice. Experienced education abroad professionals trained by The Forum, Peer Reviewers assess education abroad operations of organizations participating in QUIP Reviews. They commend the organization for excellent practices, provide suggestions and recommendations for quality improvement, and make the recommendation of whether the organization is in substantial conformity with the individual Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad.

The Forum is currently accepting applications for Peer Reviewers. View eligibility requirements and apply by Friday, June 12 to be considered.
