Forum Announces Theme
for 2013 Annual Conference

Moving Beyond It Was Great: Student Learning and Development in Education Abroad” will be the theme for the Forum’s Ninth Annual Conference in Chicago, April 3 – 5, 2013. The Call for Proposals may be read here: Forum on Education Abroad  - 2013 Annual Conference

According to the Conference Committee Chair Margaret Wiedenhoeft of Kalamazoo College, “The Committee felt that it was time to focus a full conference on issues related to student learning and development. She added:  "By focusing on students, and on what and how they learn and develop, the Conference will take us to the core of our work in education abroad. This focus will hopefully encourage us to invite and learn from our colleagues in the fields of Teaching and Learning, Student Development, and of course the many professors, administrators, and staff who work with our students overseas.”

Wiedenhoeft stated also that “the Committee did an outstanding job creating a provocative title and suggesting a wide range of possible themes and topics for sessions.”
