Moon Animals

During the first landing on the moon, astronauts Neil Armstorng and Buzz Aldrin secured lunar samples from the surface of the moon and brought them back to Earth. After that, weeks of quarantine and testing on animal subjects began. Mice, roaches, fish, and shellfish were injected with or exposed to moon particles to simulate how the dust would affect wildlife (and humans). It wasn't until after the Apollo 14 mission in 1971 that NASA felt it was safe enough to stop testing on animals and to end the quarantine process for astronauts and lab technicians working with any lunar samples.

How the Domino’s Fall

Domino’s is at war… and they won’t back down. Taking a strong stance that their delivery services will continue to operate in a world controlled by third-party delivery apps such as Uber Eats and GrubHub, Domino’s has expressed doubts about delivery services’ business model and has plans to continue large scale expansion in order to compete in the ever-expanding market. The 52-year old company hopes to reach 25,000 physical stores and twenty-five billion dollars in sales by 2025.

In second place, 24-year-old Harrison "Psalm" Chang - a former professional Heroes of the Storm player - won $1.8 million. Shane "Epikwhale" Cotton took third, winning $1.2 million. He is 16 years old and from Redondo Beach, California. In fourth, Nate "Kreo" Kou, 18, from Parkland, Florida, won $1.05 million, proving that esports is no laughing manner in 2019.

Going Linsane

Jeremey Lin was the first Asian-American player to win an NBA ring, but now feels a though he’s hit rock bottom. Struggling hard as a free agent following the Raptors’ historic victory in a six game series against the Golden State Warriors, Jeremy Lin’s breakout season in 2012 was followed by a string of injuries which have led him to where he stands as a professional basketball player today. The Harvard grad has jumped from team to team throughout his pro basketball career, playing for eight franchises in nine years.

Disney Smash!

Disney has hit a box office milestone, surpassing its previous benchmark of 7.61 billion dollars in a single year (which the studio raked in 2016). The company has surpassed 7.67 billion dollars following its recent Lion King live-action remake and still has “Frozen 2,” a “Maleficent” sequel, and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” set to release during the second half of the year. Already, the company holds five of the top six biggest films of the year globally, and we know nobody’s ready let the next few movies go unnoticed.
