Young Artist (7-17yrs - ONLINE)
Senior Artist (18-28yrs - ONLINE)
Chicago Violin Competition is an international competition and Online event open to promising young violinists from around the world. The city of Chicago is a cultural and economic center that attracts global talent in the arts, education, and business. CVC is a platform for young artists to perform, learn, and grow on a world stage.
CVC has two divisions: Young Artist for ages 7-17, and Senior Artist for ages 18-28. We collaborate with judges who are dynamic performers and educators from varied professional backgrounds.
Leveraging technology, CVC offers a unique online experience and lowers many of the barriers to entry that come with a traditional international competition. Our online format eliminates travel costs for candidates and creates the flexibility for CVC to partner with Judges from the US and beyond. View Awards.

Mask Mandate Modified and COVID Testing Prior to Rehearsal
We are aware that the State has lifted the indoor mask mandate and so have schools. For the time being, NVYS will keep our mask mandate in place and will revisit this policy after our March 13 concert.
Thank you to everyone for testing prior to rehearsal and staying home if you had symptoms or tested positive. If you tested positive last week, we are asking you to provide a negative test result within 72 hours of our next rehearsal.
We are not making testing mandatory, but we require students and staff who are experiencing Covid symptoms to stay home and test prior to the next rehearsal.
Thank you so much for your commitment to NVYS and keeping our community safe and healthy.
