Come to Baltimore This Summer

Indoor Kayaking with GROCK Students
This was the most awesome winter activity for our GROCK students. Kayak lessons at a local aquatic center. You can see that I am taking my lesson very seriously. Thanks to Ms. Terri who directs the Greenmount Recreation Center, we were instructed in the basics of kayaking and safety as we prepare for a day on the river later this year. God is at work in the lives of our students and children in East Baltimore. Our students are being challenged to know Jesus as their Savior by our tutoring staff from Towson U. They are also growing academically as well. Erica Carasquillo is a sophomore at Towson and is part of our Graffiti staff. She has been part of GROCK for over a year. Erica is a special education major and has served on mission in Zambia. Each one of our tutors is a follower of Jesus and is active in campus ministry with CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ), and BCM, (Baptist Collegiate Ministry). They are fantastic role models for our students as they mentor them and encourage them to be successful academically.

West Ridge Church students & Graffiti serving at our Bus Stop Outreach

This group of High school students came to Baltimore in February and braved the cold winter weather to serve hot coffee, donuts, fresh fruit, and Bibles at one of the busiest bus stops in the City. We prayed with people, shared the gospel, and pictured below, you may even see our own Divinity with an iguana, (a large green creature) being protected from the cold in her coat. Thank you Ruth Wittenbrook for coming and loving our people and our City. Five students also shared testimonies with our GROCK students. God is at work in the lives of these students. We were so honored to host them.

Worship at Graffiti Baltimore

We began our Sunday morning worship services in January on Greenmount Avenue. Carlos is leading our worship and is a godly, gifted worship leader. Who Is Jesus? is our theme in the Gospel of John. We will share the love of Jesus Christ inviting all to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We are applying the Gospel to the circumstances of our lives.

Graffiti Growing

East Baltimore Graffiti Church continues to seek a permanent home that has more room than our current rental space. We are worshiping in a one room storefront. We are in discussions with a property owner on Greenmount Avenue that would make a great place for us from which to serve and worship. Our Graffiti Kids need more space. We are unable to have children's worship on Sundays due to space. We are in desperate need for more space as our food pantry outreach continues to grow. EBGC served over 6000 meals in 2016. Please stay tuned. We are meeting Thursday March 23rd to make an offer to purchase a property on Greenmount Avenue. Please continue to pray for us!

Food Pantry

God is blessing us with servants whose burden is to feed hungry people. We are partnering with a large local church, Rock City, a public high school, Achievement Academy, and Celestial Manna to provide fresh fruits and vegetables and food to several families in our community on a regular basis.

Opportunities to Serve

Please join us for Graffiti Sports Camps this summer. We are hosting six weeks of camp. We still need 2 more teams in July and two teams in August. Please contact Pastor Charlie about serving with us this summer.
