Believe it or not; it’s not just about what you think, *|FNAME| *!
It seems that my front yard is attracting a lot of attention this year. You may have read the article about the turtles. Well, there is more excitement to share. Early this spring I notice the ground heaving up in the landscape and lawn. We have a mole :( a demonic digging monster that is determined to ruin my garden and lawn with its voracious appetite for what lies below the surface. Drama, drama, drama!! I am feeling discouraged, just like when a woodchuck ate my freshly planted perennials and the deer ate the lilies.
In the same front yard garden, we have a single Mammoth Sunflower which has grown to 10 feet tall, the sole survivor of 15+ seeds planted in June. This week it started to form the flower which I expect will be magnificent! I feel excited, amazed and inspired by this plant that seems to grow beyond all expectations! This reminds me of the tomato vines that grew onto the driveway and produced the sweetest fruit. That year, they nurtured my neighbor in his last days of life. I appreciate the wealth of experiences that I can remember and connect through a thread of common feelings.
Often, we talk about the power of achievement and thoughts, however, I believe that there is even greater power in our feelings; happy, sad, angry, fearful, hopeful, inspired and loving! Our feelings are the first responders of our psychic system!
How can we use our feelings to connect and reframe our past, relieve stress and anxiety in the present and ultimately create the feelings we want to experience in the future?
Here's a little mind game for you to play any time of day!
Reframe the past.
“Our personal achievements are directly related to our innate talents and strengths, but our personal limitations are directly related to our Stored Feelings library. By diminishing the obstacles our Stored Feelings impose, our capacity for successful achievement of personal objectives is greatly increased.” Richard I McDaniel Jr., Author
When you overreact to a situation, a negative feeling from your personal library has been evoked. Remain curious, learn from the situation what it is wanting to teach you.
Immerse yourself in the present.
Shift to a state of mindfulness, an intentional focus on the present moment. In your body, feel yourself go here to reset, ground and center yourself and relieve any stress you have about the past or future. Return to the past if you choose. Finish any session with an awareness of the present moment.
Intentionally create the feelings of your future.
“When your heart is open, however, and you’re living in the elevated emotions of your future, the energy that is coming off your body (energy that is emanating and connecting to the field) makes you less prone to look for “it” because you feel like you already have “it.” This is because you’re creating a vibrational match between your personal energy and some new possibility in the future. As you synchronize your energy to that destiny, you should see synchronicities in your life. It’s the law. You just need to practice sustaining the vibrational match of energy to your future for an extended period of time. That is why you are meditating in the first place—to familiarize yourself with the emotions, energy, and intention of your new future…until you become it.” Dr. Joe Dispenza, “For Those of You Feeling Stuck in Your Life.”
Return to the present moment!
By learning to choose how and where our mind is focused, past, present or future, we are leading with our feelings and then creating the corresponding thoughts and actions.
Have fun and feel good!
