We are beyond thankful for the love and support that we received in 2021 when we announced Scraplanta's return. Our team has been working hard scouting locations and connecting with community partners for future events. We can't wait to share more details about how we will serve the Atlanta community in upcoming newsletters. We know the excitement is mounting, and here are ways you can help us open our doors!

Start Gathering your Donations
|
|
As you start cleaning out your homes, closets, studios, or workspaces, consider starting a bin of items to donate to Scraplanta. Even if you aren't a crafter, we will gladly accept containers such as cookie tins and plastic totes. We will also gladly accept paper grocery bags and reusable totes. We will provide more details about donation drop-offs in our next newsletter and on our social media pages.
If you have any shelving or display furniture that we can use for the store, please feel free to email our executive director, jonelle@scraplanta.org to arrange a pickup.

Our volunteer database will be the first to know about volunteer opportunities. Volunteers will have a range of responsibilities from sorting donations to organizing our retail space. If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know at the link below.

Scraplanta is currently building a dynamic and diverse board of directors. If you are interested in dedicating your time to expanding Scraplanta's vision, please fill out a Board Member Application. Our first round of applications will close Tuesday, January 31st.

Scrap of Wisdom
Have you ever wondered what to do with old styrofoam egg cartons? Use them for paint palettes! They are perfect for keeping acrylics moist for a few days and mixing colors. Styrofoam egg cartons are also great for watercolors and mixing.
