President's Message
Dear Resident Members of Ohio ACEP,
I am truly delighted to invite you to the August 14 Ohio Emergency Medicine Residents’ Assembly. In response to much-appreciated feedback from residency programs throughout the state, we have made some changes to the Assembly that I know you will find to your liking.
First, the timing of the Assembly has been changed. In previous years, Ohio ACEP had held its Residents’ Assembly in conjunction with the Ohio ACEP Annual Meeting. While this made sense from a logistics standpoint, the timing simply wasn’t right for residents. [Read more]

Dr. Nathan Schlicher Brings Perspective of EM Physician, Patients, to Health Policy
Former Ohio ACEP member, Dr. Nathan Schlicher, has made a profound impact on health policy in his home state of Washington since his time as a resident at Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton and, later, as an emergency physician practicing around the state of Ohio. A graduate of Ohio ACEP’s Leadership Development Academy, Dr. Schlicher, became the youngest serving Washington State senator at the age of 30. [Read more]

Niagara Falls to Be Illuminated for EMS Week
On May 29, 2014, in conjunction with Canada’s National EMS Week, the Canadian and American sides of the Niagara Falls will be illuminated to honor and celebrate Emergency Medical Services. The event will begin at 9 pm and will be repeated at 10 pm. A live video feed of Niagara Falls is available for those unable to see the spectacle in person!
