President's Message

I want to take this opportunity—my last message as Chapter President—to offer a friendly reminder and an invitation to Ohio ACEP’s Emergency Medicine Assembly, June 3 and 4 in Columbus. This is an event that I look forward to every year, and those who have previously attended know what an excellent program Ohio ACEP creates for its members and attendees. In 2013, we have partnered with EMRA to bring you yet another outstanding event.
We have designed a robust educational program that includes nationally-known faculty like Drs. Greg Henry, Alex Rosenau and Nicholas Jouriles. This year’s program also offers valuable resources for residents, such as “Whoosh! Speed Networking Luncheon” and networking opportunities with over 30 EM groups, many of whom are actively recruiting physicians.
The 2013 EM Assembly features the Ohio ACEP Annual Meeting, where members vote on this year’s candidates for the Board of Directors and Councillors. We will also present two exceptional EM physicians with Ohio ACEP’s highest honors: the Bill Hall Award for Service and the EM Physician of the Year Award.
New this year, we are hosting Ohio ACEP/EMRA Night at the Ballpark. We invite you to join us and watch the Columbus Clippers take on the Indianapolis Indians from the Bullpen Suite at Huntington Park.
I strongly encourage members who want to attend to register as soon as possible! For more information, including hotel accommodations, CME information and program details, visit our EM Assembly page at www.ohacep.org/EMassembly.
I hope to see you in Columbus on June 3 and 4!
Best,
Mike
