Along with celebrating our love for the special people in our lives, Valentine’s Day is a great time to reflect on why you “fell in love” with emergency medicine. What was it that led you to choose our specialty over another? Was it the diseases and pathophysiology? Was it the blend of procedures and medicine? Was it the flexibility of schedule? [Read more]

EM Review RedefinED Course Held in San Diego

Course Director Dr. Sreeja Natesan and long-time Ohio ACEP Written Board Review faculty member Dr. Paul de Saint Victor pause for a selfie between lectures
Dr. Laura Sells, professor of pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine, presents her Pediatric Trauma Redefined lecture
For the second time, Ohio ACEP held its new 2-day board review course, EM Review RedefinED. This year, Ohio ACEP went “on the road” to offer the course in San Diego! Just under 100 physicians from all over the country joined us for 2 days of rapid-fire lectures focused on the most testable material for the in-service or board exam.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the course. And a special thanks goes out to our faculty who put on an amazing course, particularly Course Director and EM education superstar, Dr. Sreeja Natesan!

One Week Left to Nominate an EMS Hero for a Star of Life Award!

On May 20, Ohio ACEP will team up with the Ohio Division of EMS and the State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transportation Services to hold the 20th Annual EMS Star of Life Awards. The ceremony was designed to celebrate Ohio’s outstanding first responders, reunite EMS personnel with the patients they saved, and honor Ohio’s dedicated EMS community. We’re encouraging our members to help recognize the unsung heroes of EMS by nominating a colleague—a deserving EMS Medical Director or EMS Educator—or an EMS squad for an EMS Star of Life Award!

For more information on available awards and nomination instructions, check out the 2020 EMS Star of Life Awards Nomination Packet. Nominations are due February 21, 2020!
