HELLO FROM HAYLEY

Here we are, y'all! Cruising through the last little bit of 2019 over here and really enjoying putting together our year-end top spin lists. I'm including our current charts below, and you can check out our Top 100 Albums of 2019 and Top 20 Speciality Charts on our website here or by clicking on the images below. So! Much! Local! Talent! It was a really superb year for Calgary releases and I'm so proud to see how much success they've had here. Stoked as heck to see how we top that in 2020.

I've got one last list of adds for this year, and we'll be back to regular chart and tracking business the week of January 13. I may rename and refresh this newsletter, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Thanks to all of you for a really great year - my first in the Music Director chair at CJSW. It's been such a great time, and I'm really grateful for all your correspondence and patience over the year as I got comfy and familiar. Onward and upward into a new decade!

Please note: the CJSW Offices will be closed December 5 - January 5.

As always, stay tuned! We'll see you next year!

xo Hayley

CJSW 90.9 FM broadcasts out of Moh’kins’tsis (Calgary, AB) at the University of Calgary campus radio station located on Treaty 7 land. CJSW would like to acknowledge the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. CJSW would also like to note that the University of Calgary is situated on land adjacent to where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and that the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Moh’kins’tsis,” which we now call the City of Calgary.
