Chick here: and the password is yeti (all lowercase) Winter Driving & Parling Lots! So far as seemed to work well but wanted to remind everyone of a few things:
Winter is upon us and the road into the school will naturally build up snow and ice that will mostly stay for the remainder of the season. Please plan on driving slower in and out of school for the safety of our community.
Faculty parking for VSSA & SSCV is in the closer of the two lots.
Parents and students please park in the farther away lot.
Parent's please do not use the closer lot for pick up or drop off. We do not want student's walking through the faculty lot that can be a high traffic area. This is for their safety.
When picking up in the circle, please pull all the way to the end to save spaces for other families.
Please remember to drive slow with our winter roads and stay on your side of the street.
The next PTA Meeting is November 11th, 5pm, at VSSA
Eagle Country Alertis an alert notification system to immediately contact you during urgent or emergency situations with useful information and updates by sending text messages and/or emails to your devices. This is great for road closures, accident reports, school closures and more. Click here to register. Reminder: Online Classes must be 70% or higher at the end of the semester to not be billed $300 for the class.
If a family paid for an online class and it was agreed that VSSA would reimburse for this class $300 if a grade of 70% or higher is achieved, an email to Holly Beavers is required. Please include via a parent email: your request for $300 reimbursement due to VSSA agreeing to reimburse the family, proof that class has been completed with 70% of higher (which will be given to Charlene Whitney, the Counselor to add to their transcript), your mailing address and social security number (this is needed to give to the District Office to write a check out to a parent). If you are uncomfortable putting your SSN in an email, please feel free to call Holly or give it to her in person.
Community-Wide Meetings to Discuss the State of ECS Buildings Tonight! For our up valley schools, the meeting will be held at Battle Mountain High School tonight. For down valley schools, the meeting will be held at Eagle Valley High School on Nov. 17. Both meetings will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Child care and simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available.
Our goal at these meetings will be to listen to the community’s input about our facilities and gather ideas and opinions about needs for going forward. While we’ve done our homework and have some ideas and estimates to improve our facilities, our work is to try and put in place a plan for the future that meets our community’s expectations and goals. We hope to see you there!
This information was in the Vail Daily on November 4th.
There are still a few spots open: please consider signing up to bring a treat and a small gift ($15 limit) to a VSSA teacher or staff member on their birthday (*summer birthdays will be celebrated on their half birthday). Please attach an appreciative card signed "From The VSSA PTA".
You will receive an email reminder 4 days before the birthday.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! VSSA PTA
