7th & 8th Grade Field Trip
This Tuesday, February 2, from 12:30-1:30, the 7th and 8th grade class is attending a performance at the Vilar about cyber bullying (all received an email with details about pick up from Gold Peak and VSSA and that students need to bring a packed lunch). On Monday, February 1, at 6:30pm there is a free show and all 5th-9th graders are encouraged to attend this with their parents. This show is meant to complement the daytime STARS shows.
Mondays show will tell the same story as the STARS show but from the perspective of the adults. The point is to help us identify the signs of bullying. The free performance is 90 minutes and will be followed by a talk-back/Q&A led by Eagle Valley Middle School Principal Katie Jarnot. No tickets are needed. Just show up! Flyer Attached.
Thank you to those who have offered to help with some of our upcoming initiatives! We really appreciate everyone's willingness to pull together and make great things happen at VSSA! See below for everything happening!
Teacher of the Month
We would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the amazing teachers at VSSA! From now, through the end of the school year, we are asking students to nominate a teacher that they think has gone above and beyond for them, or one of their peers. There will be nomination forms and a box in the lobby at VSSA. If you would like to nominate a teacher, please fill out the form in its entirety and place it in the box for consideration. The nominations need to be received by the 20th of each month. Teacher of the Month will be awarded for February, March, April and May, 2016.
The PTA would like to give a special thanks to Samantha Lathram for pulling together our new "Teacher of the Month" initiative! Sam worked hard creating the nomination forms, signage and box that is now located in the front lobby of VSSA and ready for use! Thanks, Sam!
