Schoology is an amazing resource for parents too! Click here to create your account. See what's going on in your child's classroom and when assignments are due. Each student has an individual code, email your child's advisor if you haven't received it. One code per student is all that's needed to access information for all your student's classes.

PTA Corner

Now that we are all settling into the school year, we thought it would be beneficial to share with you who the members of your 2016-2017 PTA team are.  Here is who has taken on what role for this school year:

President - Stacey Birtwhistle
Treasurer - Kara Palamaras
Secretary - Andi Malboeuf
Web/Technology - Ashleigh Gore

As Secretary, Andi will be sending out our weekly "blurb" in the Yeti Times.  If you have something that you would like included (an upcoming event posting, volunteer ask, congrats, recognition, etc. ), please forward the necessary information to Andi by end of day Wednesday of each week. Andi can be reached directly at

If you are unsure as to whether or not you have paid your PTA dues, please contact Kara directly at We rely heavily on all of our families paying their annual dues in order to be able to fund the wonderful PTA events and activities that we have on our calendar!

VSSA Teacher of the Month
We are excited to announce that we will be awarding a Teacher of the Month at Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy for the months of September through May. Everyone please get your votes in for Teach Of the Month. Gibby has the nominating slips at the front desk. The deadline to get submissions in for the September Teacher of the Month is September 20th.

We are asking each family to contribute $25 (per student if able) to VSSA PTA. This small amount of money per student goes a long way to contribute to student events, speakers, teacher appreciation, school dances, 8th grade continuation, 12th grade graduation and so much more!  We have made an easy online payment through our VSSA PTA website - Please visit the site and use the online PayPal option. Some of you may have already submitted a check with your re-enrollment package in the spring. If you do not remember, shoot me an email at and I would be happy to let you know if you have already paid. We appreciate your support!
