Snapshot from VSSA's Second Annual Mountain Day!
What a beautiful day for the student body and staff of VSSA and SSCV to climb Vail Mountain and have lunch together. Mountain Day is a tradition focused on building community and fostering relationships between students, teachers, and coaches.

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for the Schoology and PowerSchool Parent Workshop. We had a great turn out! Please click here for the handout Mr. Hopkins provided at the workshop. Video from the event will be available soon.

PTA Corner

Halloween Festivities! VSSA will host a decorated tent on Main Street for the annual night of Trick or Treating in the Town of Minturn, on October 30th. About 1,000 ghosts and goblins are expected. That's a lot of candy! Let's make sure that VSSA's tent is well supplied with treats. There will be a box in the front office for your donation. Thank you!

Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up soon on Tuesday and Wednesday, 10/25 and 10/26.  VSSA PTA likes to organize potlucks for the staff and teachers on these two evenings which is always enjoyed and appreciated by the staff.  Please help make this year's another success by contributing a food or drink item.  Please click here  to use the SignUpGenius so we can ensure a nice variety and a couple of vegan and gluten free items.
Thank you,

Street Survival is Back – Teen Driving Safety Program

Vail Valley Jet Center on October 23rd.

The Edwards Rotary Club will again run this fabulous program for teens in the Vail Valley.  Street Survival places your licensed teen behind the wheel of their own car to enhance their driving skills.  The all-day session allows teens to drive through a variety of conditions and courses set up at the Vail Valley Jet Center.  It improves driving skills and helps teens realize the responsibility that comes with having a drivers license.   Teens need to be 16 years of age and have a valid drivers license in order to participate.  Advance reservations are required.
