Happy Spring!
The transformative season of Spring is the perfect time to shift our own perspectives and outlooks. At Gettliffe Architecture, we like to consider projects from all angles literally and figuratively -- examining the effects and interconnections that radiate out from individual, to family, to community, to ecosystem.
We discussed this holistic mentality, and the responsibility of sustainability, with our friends Y On Earth as they taught us the process for homemade lacto-fermented probiotic sauerkraut.
Our studio also took time to recognize International Women’s Day and #adaywithoutawoman on March 8. After all, 50% of our Boulder studio, and 100% of our “sister studio" in Nicaragua, are women.
Check out what else we’ve been up to in our blog posts below.
In collaboration with our friends at Jeff Becker Construction, the Gregory Creek Home has entered its framing phase of construction. This is an exciting moment where the project begins to come to life through its emerging volumes and forms.
This season we’re excited to be hosting paintings by local artist Nicholas Emery in our studio’s #ArtNook space. Emery is based out of Nederland and Denver.
As a way to foster connection and to promote placemaking within our design community, GA team members Raquel Mayorga and Alicja Hudson participated in a collaboration with an Environmental Design Studio class at CU taught by Marianne Holbert.
