Epping Town Council to light Queen's birthday beacon
Epping Town Council will be celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday by lighting a beacon at the Frampton Road recreation ground on Thursday, April 21.

The event starts at 7pm with the beacon to be lit at 7.30pm.

All are welcome and refreshments, including ice cream, will be available.

The beacon will be one of hundreds lit across the country after the Queen lights the main beacon.

Town Clerk Beverley Rumsey said: "Epping Town Council are delighted to be taking part in this important event and invite everyone to come and join us for what we hope will be a memorable occasion.

"It’s the kind of thing that children will remember for years to come. Refreshments will be available. Please come and join in.”

The beacon will be lit by Town Supervisor Bill Towers.
