Refurbished Ivy Chimneys play area completed

The Ivy Chimneys play area has been extensively refurbished by Epping Town Council.

Children at nearby Ivy Chimneys Primary School were among those involved in discussions about the new equipment that has been installed at the site.

Interim town clerk Beverley Rumsey said: "Last year Epping Town Council consulted with the local community to decide how best to refurbish the playground at Ivy Chimneys.

"The public consultation meeting with adult residents and Year 5 students of Ivy Chimneys Primary School helped to focus the decisions.

"The new development has been carefully planned and designed with the consultation points in mind and there should be something for children of all ages to enjoy.

"The benches and picnic tables will allow families to supervise their children and enjoy the area themselves - the zip wire is proving extremely popular!"
