Town council delays Neighbourhood Plan submission
Epping Town Council's Neighbourhood Plan has been completed, but the council will delay submitting it for examination until the outcome of the district council Local Plan Independent Examination is known.

The town council has reached this stage of the Neighbourhood Plan process following three to four years of work by the council, a special working group and local residents who had input into the document which went out for public consultation last summer and since when necessary amendments have been made.

Town Mayor Nigel Avey said: "It is a fantastic piece of work and thank you to all the councillors and residents who have been involved with it."

He added: "The town council is delaying submitting its Neighbourhood Plan until the result of the district council's Local Plan hearing is known as the Neighbourhood Plan may need to be amended to ensure conformity with the Local Plan.

"If the Local Plan does not change with regards to Epping in any material way, the town council will submit this version of its Neighbourhood Plan for examination."
