Two West Hatch High School students received special awards for their debating skills when they took part in an economics debating day at the New College of the Humanities in Bedford Square, London.
Eight Year 12 Economics A-Level students were chosen to attend the day which saw them take part in a range of debates based on globalisation and the costs associated with international aid.
Under the supervision and observation of university staff, masters and PhD students they had to prepare presentations for and against various points.
They also had to answer challenging questions from other students.
All eight students worked very well and gained a great deal of confidence and exposure to what it is like to study Economics at University.
Tom Sheehan and Daniel Adekanle were selected for the special awards.
