All set for town council's Christmas Market
Choirs from four local schools as well as the Epping Forest Band and Epping Forest Pipe Band will be among those providing musical entertainment at the Epping Town Council Christmas Market tomorrow.
A variety of entertainment and almost 70 stalls selling Christmas crafts, gifts and food will be in Epping High Street with the market from noon until 8pm.
The entertainment programme starts after the official opening by Town Mayor councillor Nigel Avey at 3.30pm.
First to perform will be Epping Primary School Choir (3.35pm) with Coopersale Hall Choir at 4pm, Ivy Chimneys Primary School Choir at 4.25pm and Coopersale and Theydon Garnon Primary School Choir at 5.10pm.
The lights on the 25ft Christmas tree on the piazza will be officially switched on at 4.55pm.
The Epping Forest Band will perform at 6.10pm and Epping Forest Pipe Band at 7pm.
Other attractions include a visit from Father Christmas at the fire station from 4pm, a Town Crier who will be touring the market between 2pm and 5pm, reindeer at the Market Garden Terrace from 3pm to 5pm, a Snow Globe (3pm-8pm), and Olaf from Frozen between 4pm and 6pm.
All times may be subject to change.
Limited free car parking, courtesy of Epping Forest District Council, will be available in the Cottis Lane car park from noon.
The Christmas Market is run alongside the Christmas Tree Festival at St John’s Church which will be opened by Town Mayor Nigel Avey at 1pm tomorrow (Friday) and continues on Saturday, Sunday and Monday
