Students attend Motivational conference
Eighteen Year 9 West Hatch students attended a Motivational Conference at the Marriott Hotel, Waltham Abbey.

The aim of the event, funded by the YES Partnership, was to inspire and motivate students, enabling them to access information on careers and pathways to employment.

Students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities which included work-related learning workshops, meeting employers and researching careers options for their GCSE courses.

They had an informative day and enjoyed lunch at the Thyme Restaurant.

All students received a certificate of attendance along with a career goal plan for their future learning and studies.

Geoffrey Towsey, the school's Careers Co-ordinator, said: "The work of the YES Partnership is fantastic and their Motivation and World of Work Conferences are amazing opportunities for our students to get involved with. They always find the events very informative, engaging and it gets them thinking about the future."
