The Boswells School presentation evening at Chelmsford Cathedral

Chelmsford Cathedral hosted the annual Boswells School Presentation Evening last Tuesday (January 5).

The cathedral was packed with staff, friends and families as a large number of students from every year group in the school were awarded prizes as a result of  their outstanding effort and attainment last year.

A number of students were also awarded their prestigious Prefect, Sports and Performing Arts ties for their commitment to the school and a small number of students were present with the 'Golden Scallop' award for their outstanding academic achievement.

Headteacher Paul Banks commended the students for their academic excellence and achievements.

He said: "It was an absolute pleasure to recognise the efforts and achievements of such a large number of students from every year group in the school.

"The Boswells School is a great school at the heart of our community are our outstanding students who continue to work incredibly hard.

"They are a credit to the school, to their families but, most importantly they are a supeb example to everyone.

"They show that, regardless of academic ability, success is determined by attitude and hard work.

"They are an amazing group of young people and we are very proud of them."
