​Boswells Year 9 boys crowned district cricket champions
The Year 9 Boswells School boys' cricket team are district champions after a resounding 60-run victory over Brentwood School.
Boswells batted first and scored 145 in their 20 overs.

Opener and Captain Harry Arnold hit 30 before having to retire, his innings including several boundaries and a six.

Vice-captain Owen Swann also reached his retirement 30 for district competitions. His innings also included a six.

Boswells survived five dropped catches as Andrew Wood led the middle order, Adam Dighton hit a career best which included three boundaries with fine support from Harry Brothers and Jack French.

With Brentwood needing 146 to win Boswells bowled well with Andrew Wood, Harry Arnold, Tom Gore and Owen Swann all taking wickets as Brentwood were all out for 85, including their retired opening batsman who got to come back in.

Head of Year and team manager Darren Page said: "What a way to seal it! Well done to all the boys on becoming district champions and turning the result around from last year.

"I could not be any prouder of the boys. They showed great spirit and togetherness to get their revenge from last year’s defeat."​
