Students give Christmas gifts to children's centres
Sixth Form students at Roding Valley High School, Loughton, have donated festive gifts to Spurgeons, which runs children's centres in Loughton and Chigwell.

Head of Sixth Form Lee Harris said: "The students wanted to give something to the community at Christmas rather than Christmas being all about getting."

Spurgeons administrator Aileen Thomas said: "Through their generosity we were able to make up ten hampers which we are in the process of distributing to families within Epping Forest.

"We cannot thank the students of Roding Valley Sixth Form enough for their thoughts and kindness at this time of the year."

Spurgeons runs the Sunrise Children's Centre in Loughton, Little Oaks Children’s Centre in Debden, and the True Stars Children's Centre in Chigwell.
