Roding Valley High School students perform drama exam work
Students from Debden Park High School and Roding Valley High School combined to perform extracts from Patrick Marber’s 'Closer' for their A-Level Theatre Studies exam.
Success of the performances is testament to the continued collaboration between the two schools whereby Roding Valley Year 13 Sixth Form students travel seamlessly and integrate into the Year 13 drama A-level classes at Debden Park.
The Roding Valley students - Lillie Butler, Nathan Mellule, and Thisbe Barnet - felt the drama performances ran well and that they were fully prepared for their Drama practical examination.
Debden Park High School drama teacher Emily Mitchell, who directed one of the pieces, said: "We were so proud of them all for working so hard to realise our interpretation of the play.
"The play was performed to Sixth Form students and Year 11 students contemplating their post-16 choices at A-Level."
Debden Park assistant headteacher Sebastian Ventura said: "It was a great experience and a huge success for all the students involved and we expect outstanding results to reflect their hard work."
Roding Valley High School Head of Sixth Form Lee Harris said: "This is once again testament to collaboration between students, teachers and leaders alike within the Sixth Form Consortium which continues to be a network of opportunities for students within the local community."
